Planet Perth Tours provide friendly, informative, good value tours that show off the state of Western Australia. The owners have drawn on their experience of travelling and working in the tourism industry to create tours for travellers, backpackers and students who have limited time and budget but want to see as much of Western Australia as possible. From half-day to thirteen-day tours, the aim is to make sure everyone has a great time on informative trips designed to show our beautiful state at its best.

Our clients are generally 18 to 35 years old and predominantly from Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Japan, Korea, Ireland, Canada and the United States of America.

1 Day Four Wheel Drive (4WD) Pinnacles Tour

Visit Yanchep National Park where you have the opportunity to see Koala`s and other Australian native wildlife. There is even a chance to have your picture taken with a cuddly koala.

Then off to the Pinnacles where you have ample time to wander through the limestone spires located in Nambung National Park.

In the afternoon, it is off the sealed roads and heading for the bumpy bush tracks and sand dunes around Lancelin for some four wheel drive fun. Keep watch for kangaroos, emus and wildflowers as we bounce down the track toward the majestic pure white Lancelin sand dunes. Out onto the dunes, a few heart stopping rides down steep sides of these huge sand `waves` in our four wheel drive (4wd) truck and it`s time for some sand surfing on our custom made sandboards (optional - no extra cost).

Highlights on the tour include: the Stirling and Porongurup National Park, bushwalking to the top of Castle Rock, views of the Stirling Ranges, a sunset cruise in Albany, sightseeing at The Gap, Natural Bridge and the Blowholes. Departs Broome Monday morning and arrives back in Perth Wednesday afternoon. Travel south down the Great Northern Highway. Pass through iron ore and gold mining country, cattle stations and the wheat/sheep belt. See Aboriginal rock carvings and art. Camping or bunkhouse accommodation on sheep/cattle stations.

Breakfast days two and three and dinner day one and two are included. Buy your own lunches en route.

This journey can only be booked as a separate three day tour up to nine days before departure.

After the coast we head inland to the Hammersley Ranges and Karijini National Park with walks from Dales Gorge to Circular Pool including Fortesque Falls and Fern Pool and Weano Gorge to Handrail Pool.

From this the furtherest point on the trip we head back to Perth passing through iron ore and gold mining country, cattle stations and the wheat/sheep belt. The final day is at New Norcia and the Swan Valley. For this last part of the trip (the last two days) you will need to buy your own lunches en route.

Highlights on the tour include: York, Hyden, the Hippo’s Yawn and Wave Rock, Esperance, the Great Ocean Drive, Cape Le Grande, Lucky Bay, Hellfire Beach and a climb up Frenchman`s Peak.

After the Fitzgerald National Park and Two Peoples Bay, we move onto the Southwest part of the tour where highlights include: Albany, sightseeing at The Gap, Natural Bridge and the Blowholes, Denmark, Greens Pool, Valley of the Giants and the Tree Top Walk, Pemberton, the Karri forests and a climb up one of the Fire Tree lookouts.

In summer (December to May,) you will see the most south westerly point in Australia you will see where the Indian and the Southern Oceans meet. While in the Augusta and Margaret River region, you will gain bushcraft skills at the Wardan Aboriginal Centre where we learn about the early tribal Aborigines. Then there is still time to enjoy a winery and the Chocolate Factory before seeing the Busselton Jetty and the Bunbury Dolphin Discovery as we head back to Perth.

In winter (June to November,) you will still see the most south westerly point in Australia you will see where the Indian and the Southern Oceans meet, but you also go whale watching (optional extra) for Blue, Southern Rights and Humpback whales. For those who are not keen on the whales, you can visit one of the vast networks of caves in the region. Then you will still get to taste local cheeses, go to the Chocolate Factory before seeing the Busselton Jetty enroute to Perth.
