Located three kilometres from Denmark and extending from the shores of Wilson Inlet to the crown of Weedon Hill, The Cove is a natural environment to explore and enjoy. The 24 hectares of native Karri and Jarrah forest is home to over 50 species of birds and many wildflowers.

Walk trails enable the visitor to discover The Coves secrets, or to stride a 30 minute power walk around the property. Public walk trails link directly to The Cove allowing walks further afield.

The Cove`s sheltered bay allows small boats direct access to the property, making it an ideal place for water-based activities such as fishing, sailing, canoeing and windsurfing.

Five hand crafted, self-contained chalets cater for a variety of visitor needs, from honeymooners to families and larger groups. Wood fires and insulation make for a cosy winter retreat, while extensive use of roof and wall glazing ensures the visitor fully appreciates the surrounding environment.

Built by woodworker owner-managers, The Cove is an example of timber usage in its many forms, from bush timbers to finely crafted furniture. An active timber workshop is located on the property, and guests are welcome to visit and view ongoing work.

Access to Denmark`s many attractions is an easy drive. Vineyards, restaurants, beaches and spectacular rocky coast formations such as Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks are nearby, while Western Australia`s oldest town, Albany, and The Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk, are within a 40 minute radius.

The Cove Services

`Karri` and `Tingle` Chalets

Two storey chalets with great flexibility in sleeping arrangements. There is one bedroom upstairs and one downstairs. Four zip lock mattresses can combine to form two queen size beds, making the chalets perfect for two couples, four singles or combinations. There are two extra mattresses.

The chalets are fully self contained, including linen, full size gas stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, compact disc player, glass fronted log fire, washing machine, cot, high chair, barbecue, games and books.

Linen is provided.

The `Sanctum`

The open plan style incorporates the bedroom, lounge, kitchen and dining areas. The bathroom is one step across a breezeway with the shower built against a granite boulder and karri tree.

This chalet accommodation is self contained including a fully equipped kitchen, compact disc player, glass fronted log fire, electric blanket, barbecue, games and books.

Linen provided.

The `A-Frame`

This accommodation is an open plan building with a seven metre table and large open fire. Perfectly suited for an extended family, two to three families or special interest groups (20 beds with additional mattresses). Mattresses can zip lock to form seven queen size beds.

There are two bathrooms, an internal one with full disabled access shower and toilet and one in the forest several metres away with a shower and two toilets. Informality and flexibility in sleeping arrangements is the charm of the A-Frame.

The `Jarrah` Chalet

`Jarrah` is a two storey, four bedroom, two bathroom chalet. The large open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area is central to the four dispersed bedrooms.

Two bedrooms are on the ground floor with one that incorporates a disabled access ensuite. Twelve single mattresses zip lock to form queen size beds.

An extensive covered timber deck provides inlet glimpses through the forest canopy. “Jarrah” has a fully equipped kitchen with large gas stove, fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. It also has a washing machine, cot, high chair, barbecue, childproofing for the stairs and fire, compact disc player, books and games.

Linen is provided.
