Sunferries Magnetic Island

There are three ferries in the fleet that take passengers across Cleveland Bay to Magnetic Island in approximately 25 minutes.

The fleet consists of the Islander IV which holds 195 passengers, the Sunbird which holds 292 passengers and The Spirit of Magnetic Island which holds 400 passengers.

There are 15 services daily leaving Townsville starting at 5.35 a.m. and the last ferry leaves the Island at 12.05 a.m. on the weekends and 11.05 p.m. on weekdays.

Sunferries has two terminals in Townsville, Flinders Street East and the Breakwater Terminal. On Magnetic Island, the arrival jetty is situated at Nelly Bay.
