With the Bibbulmun Track and the Munda Biddi Mountain Bike Trail passing through Dwellingup, the Murray River seven kilometres away and surrounded by Jarrah forests its way too easy to plan an unforgettable experience.
The self guided tour range starts with half or full day canoe tours with an overnight tour for those a little more adventurous. Or perhaps you combine a walk and canoe with a walk and camp out on the Bibbulmun Track and canoe out the next day. For mountain bikers there is a day trip and an overnighter following the Munda Biddi Trail back to Dwellingup. The tours include canoes, mountain bikes and safety equipment along with support at the start and finish allowing you to travel at your own pace without the need to be part of a big group tour. A small range of camping equipment is also available for hire.
The white water rafting season from July to October (water levels permitting) provides a very active interaction with the river. Big boats run on Sundays with other days available for group bookings. There are sections of the river where small tube raft hire allows a hire only fast water adventure without booking into the white water group tours.

White Water Rafting
Meet at Dwellingup Adventures opposite the Community Hotel at 0915 hours. We provide a light breakfast and a cuppa before you change into your comfort and safety wear. The paperwork is complete and the bus picks us up at 1000 hours to head to the Murray River and Baden Powell Water Spout.
After a shore and water based safety and skills brief we commence our 12 kilometre trip to Scarp Pool.
Your first rapid is the four metre drop of the Baden Powell Water Spout. It becomes more gentle then with long stretches of forest lined banks before our next set of grade two and three rapids.

Paddle `n` Picnic (Self Guided) Tour
Self guided tours are designed for those who want to enjoy a more intimate experience without a large group. Dwellingup Adventures assist in support at the start and at the end. The tours are self guided and while little experience is required customers should be comfortable with the walking, canoeing or riding aspect and independence the tours allow.
Tours involving a canoe component are subject to normal seasonal river levels. Due to safety, self guided tours are not available for the single traveller.
The tour is available all year however from November to April the Murray River`s at its placid best, ideal for novices and families. Park your vehicle and we`ll transport you and your canoe up river to Island Pool for the half day (six kilometres) or Yarragil (ten kilometres) for the full day tour. Spend the rest of the day picnicking, paddling and swimming as you meander downstream through the beautiful Murray River Valley to your vehicle. We collect your canoe at the finish.
Each canoe is supplied with the appropriate number of paddles and buoyancy vests. Helmets are supplied and are recommended for moving water.

Pack `n` Paddle (Self Guided) Tour

Suitable for the novice walker and canoeist this trip is available all year with the cooler months being the most popular. Leave your vehicle in Dwellingup and walk the 13 kilometres to Swamp Oak Hut along the Bibbulmun Track. We meet you at Island Pool with a canoe the next morning. We`ll transport your backpack to town as you swap to canoe mode and paddle the 6kms to Baden Powel Water Spout. We collect your canoe party and canoe returning you to Dwellingup.
Each canoe is supplied with the appropriate number of paddles and buoyancy vests. Helmets are supplied and are recommended for moving water.

Murray Explorer (Self Guided) Tour

More suitable for those with a little canoe experience this trip is available June to November or at suitable river levels. Leave your vehicle in Dwellingup and we`ll transport you and your canoe/s upstream. You spend the next day and a half meandering downstream 19 kilometres through the beautiful Murray River Valley choosing an overnight campsite along the way. The next day we collect your canoe party and canoe from Baden Powell Water Spout returning you to Dwellingup.

Munda Biddi Mountain Bike Explorer (Sef Guided) Tour

Day Tour: Bidjar Nyoulin Hut King Jarrah Form to Dwellingup:
This is a 28.5 kilometre self guided mountain bike ride along the Munda Biddi Trail. It is more suited to the moderately fit and some mountain bike experience is required. The track is difficult in a few spots and some short up hill walks are required.
Overnight Tour: Louge Brook to Dwellingup:
This is a 72.5 kilometre self guided mountain bike ride along the Munda Biddi Trail. It is more suited to the moderately fit and some mountain bike experience is required. The track is difficult in a few spots and some short up hill walks are required. An overnight hut stay at Bidjar Nyoulin Hut is incorporated.
You park your vehicle in Dwellingup then we drop you and your bike/s at Bidjar Nyoulin or Louge Brook. You then spend the rest of the day/s riding back to Dwellingup arriving before 1700.
