Freycinet Air operates scenic flights over the east coast from Friendly Beaches, near Coles Bay. The company has been operating since 1997 and offers scenic flights in their Cessna 172s, which have a maximum capacity of three passengers.
Tasmania`s east coast is a is one of the most stunning in Australia. From the islands of Maria and Schouten to the Freycinet Peninsula with its pink granite mountains, you fly over long stretches of unspoilt ocean beaches and rugged headlands; a highlight is an aerial view of Wine Glass Bay.
Freycinet Air also operates scenic flights to Maria Island, and the historical settlement of Darlington.
Freycinet Air flies from Friendly Beaches Airfield, located 18 kilometres north of Coles Bay. Turn off the Swansea - Bicheno road (Highway A3) into Coles Bay Road (C302) and drive nine kilometres towards Coles Bay before turning left at the Friendly Beaches sign. After one kilometre you will see us on the left.
Flights operate daily between 0830 and 1700 subject to weather conditions.
