Amidst the sleepy docks you will become acquainted with some of the colourful characters, stories and events that have helped shape Hobart`s intriguing past. Who was the Jam King? and where was Hunter Island?
Step back into the age of convict settlement to bushrangers and their public executions, learn about the charming watermen trade that once plied the river, and relive the time when Hobart was one of the world`s great whaling ports.
The tour also includes the Cove`s intriguing connections with Antarctic Exploration, the iconic Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, the 1975 Tasman Bridge Disaster and information on Hobart`s Rivulet and the facility of its outlet into the Cove at settlement.
