Red Brier Cottage Accommodation 

Red Brier Cottage offers self-contained, heritage-style accommodation at Richmond in southeast Tasmania. Richmond is a 30-minute drive (27 kilometres) from Hobart and twenty minutes from the Hobart airport.
Built in 1839 and originally used as a barn, the restored Red Brier Cottage can accommodate four guests in one double and one twin bedroom. It has a fully-equipped kitchen with provisions for a country breakfast, large bathroom with a double spa bath and a laundry. The living room has a wood heater, and the cottage is set among flower gardens, with convict-built stone walls and a sandstone verandah.
Red Brier Cottage is in the centre of Richmond, a village famous for its Georgian architecture. Discover the convict history of the town, browse the galleries and shops or relax in a cafe or restaurant. Visit the Richmond Gaol and Richmond Bridge - Australia`s oldest - or take a horse-drawn carriage ride through town. Richmond is located in the Coal River Valley, one of Tasmania`s wine-producing areas. You can take a drive through the countryside and taste some of Tasmania’s fine cool climate wines at the cellar door.
