March
2019

Their 2018 SteamFest was a steaming success! Their 2019 SteamFest is going to be better again, that is because they always aim for more next time! Every year they want to build on what they've achieved already and this means more stalls offering Tasmanian foods, crafts, fresh produce, new exhibits, entertainers and children's activities. In 2017 they opened their new Miniature Railway - another attraction for the little ones and the not so young! SteamFest brings history to life over three days with one of the biggest collections of working steam machinery in Australia, steam train rides, exhibitions of pioneering skills such as blacksmithing, historic machinery such as steam powered threshers and rock crushers showing how things were done in yesteryear and vintage cars. Kids versus Steamroller Tug-o-War, plenty of kid's entertainment plus lots and lots of art, craft and food stalls. And, of course, their Krauss steam loco running every half hour, all day long! Check out the website for photos and updated information from time to time.
