SeaLink operates two large, fast and comfortable ocean-going catamaran ferries between Cape Jervis on the mainland and Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island in South Australia.

The 45 minute crossing by SeaLink ferry from Cape Jervis to Penneshaw is a great start to your holiday and we guarantee you will feel the excitement mount as Kangaroo Island comes into view.

Both ferries are 50 metres long and were purpose-built to suit the waters of Backstairs Passage. So well suited are the vessels that SeaLink`s cancellation rate due to extreme weather, sea conditions or breakdown is less than 0.5 per cent, or one in 1200 departures.

Our ferries feature licensed cafés, airline and café style seating and lounges, Television/video monitors and video amusement games ensuring that the 45-minute crossing is comfortable and enjoyable.

Ferries operate an average of four trips per day and up to 12 services per day during peak periods.
