Best of Kangaroo Island - One Day/One Night - KIDT01

Arrive by ferry or fly in that night and Kangaroo Island Discovery Tours will pick you up and drop you to the Kangaroo Island Seafront Resort to check into your four-star ocean view room. Around 7:30pm you have a two-course dinner in the A La Carte Sorrento`s Restaurant. At 9:30pm (in summer) or 8:30pm (in winter) you head to the Penguin Centre for a guided tour of the Little Penguin Colony. This is a Kangaroo Island must do!

The following morning make your way down to Sorrento`s restaurant for a full breakfast great way to start the day! At 9am we pick you up from the Resort and you start your full day of touring. We head straight for the island`s largest national park Flinders Chase at the western end of the Island. You will get the chance to see the wonderful native wildlife such as kangaroos, wallabies and birds at Rocky River. From there we drive through the park to Admirals Arch and see the colony of New Zealand Fur Seals, from the viewing platform you will get fantastic photo opportunities not to missed. Next stop are the Remarkable Rocks, these are large granite boulders standing dramatically on the cliff top, which plunges 75 metres into the Southern Ocean.

After all this fresh air we then stop for a gourmet lunch, which will be served on either a secluded Beach or in a remote bush setting (depending on weather) you can sit back with a glass of Kangaroo Island Wine and admire the surroundings and hopefully see more wildlife. After our lunch we head for Seal Bay Conservation Park where your guide will take you on the beach to get up close and personal with the Australian sea lion colony. Watch them surf the waves for feed their young, this is an experience you will never forget. If you would like to see koalas in their native habitat this can be included instead of Seal Bay. Your tour then concludes with your departure at either the airport or Sealink Ferry.

Discover Kangaroo Island - Two Days/One Night - KIDT02

Your tour begins immediately after Kangaroo Island Discovery Tours pick-up at either the airport or Sealink Ferry Terminal. We head straight for the island`s largest national park Flinders Chase at the western end of the island. You will get the chance to see the wonderful native wildlife such as kangaroos, wallabies and birds at Rocky River. From there we will drive through the park to Admirals Arch and see the colony of New Zealand Fur Seals, from the viewing platform you will get fantastic photo opportunities not to be missed. Then we head off to Koala Avenue just outside the park where we have the chance to view koalas in their natural habitat. Next it is off to Kelly Hill Caves where you get to have a guided tour of the caves. You`ll discover an amazing world with sinkholes and caverns that possibly extend nine kilometres underground to the coast of Australia`s Southern Ocean.

Now it is off to the Kangaroo Island Seafront Resort to check into your four-star ocean view room, with time to relax and have a massaging spa before dinner. Around 7:30pm you have a two-course dinner in the A La Carte Sorrento`s Restaurant. Once you have finished dinner, you can stroll down to the Penguin Centre (only 200 metres from the Resort) and join others for your guided Penguin tour. You will marvel at these little creatures.

The following morning make your way down to Sorrento`s restaurant for a full breakfast great way to start the day! At 9.30am we pick-up from the Resort and we head to Pennington Bay just 18 kilometres out of Penneshaw, this is also one of Kangaroo Island`s spectacular beaches. If you feel energetic there is 550-step hill to climb to see an amazing view of Kangaroo Island.

Now off to the Eucalyptus Farm, take this opportunity to find out how a traditional Aussie Bush Product is made. It`s South Australia`s only commercial Eucalyptus Oil Distillery operator only on solar, steam and wind power.

We now head for Seal Bay Conservation Park where your guide will take you on the beach to get up close and personal with the Australian Sea-Lion colony. Watch them surf the waves for feed their young, this is an experience you will never forget.

We leave the South Coast of Kangaroo Island and head north to Snelling Beach for a gourmet lunch, which will be served on either a secluded beach or in a remote bush setting (depending on weather) you can sit back with a glass of Kangaroo Island wine.

Now you can work of that lunch with a stroll though Lathami National Park and observe the kangaroos and wallabies, this is also the habitat of the rare Glossy Black Cockatoo and the shy and very cute echidna.

Straight after we head to Stokes Bay along the fantastic coastline of north Kangaroo Island we get to show you a hidden beach we make our way though the tunnel on the eastern end of the beach. Your tour then concludes with your departure at either the airport or Sealink Ferry Terminal.
