Experience two of South Australia`s premiere scuba diving attractions: the ex-HMAS Hobart wreck and the amazing leafy seadragons.
Our fast comfortable vessel is set up especially for diving and departs from Marina St Vincent for the short trip to the ex-HMAS and Rapid Bay.
The ex-HMAS Hobart is a 133 metre long former destroyer in the Australian Navy. Purpose sunk for diving, it has many hatches and openings, allowing unprecedented access to the bridge, engine room, and interior for suitably qualified divers. Much of the structure, including the guns, toilets and bunks, equipment and instrumentation has been left in place, providing many points of interest. A myriad of marine life now also inhabits the wreck, including prolific invertebrate growth, huge schools of bullseyes, bearded cod, snapper, whiting and others, plus the chance to see cuttlefish, seals and unusual fish species.
Rapid Bay is often rated among the top dives in Australia. As well as being one of the best places to find the amazing leafy seadragon, it is a spectacular dive with a plenitude of fish life. Huge schools of unique southern Australian fish such as old wives are common, colourful wrasses abound and other oddities such as weedy seadragons and a range of nudibranchs can also be discovered.
Our friendly, professional dive guides and skippers are all highly experienced and familiar with the sites we visit, so we can offer a safe and enjoyable diving experience.
