Super Premium Magill Estate Winery Tour - PME02

Located in the Adelaide foothills and only 15 minutes from the Adelaide city centre, is the home of Penfolds Wines: Penfolds Magill Estate Winery. We invite you to join us on a daily discovery tour into the history of Australia`s most famous wine and learn more about the traditions, philosophy and labels that have made Penfolds a household name for over 150 years.

Enjoy a walking tour through the historical winery, including the Vintage Cellars (where we still make wine in the traditional way to this day), the Underground Maturation Cellars, and the old Still House, which houses our award-winning Cellar Door tasting room. In the Underground Cellars we will prepare a tasting of Penfolds Super Premium wines (excluding Grange) for you to taste and enjoy, alongside some of South Australia`s best regional produce with our antipasto platters. To complete the tour, we will return to our Cellar Door for a tasting of Penfolds Bluestone 10 year old Tawny, named after the historic winery.

The Great Grange Magill Estate Winery Tour - PME03

Just 15 minutes from the Adelaide city centre is one of the world`s most exclusive wine experiences. Penfolds Magill Estate Winery was founded in 1844 by Dr Christopher Rawson Penfold, is the spiritual and historical home of Australia`s most famous wine, Penfolds Grange, and now we give you the opportunity to be a part of history by enjoying the unique `Great Grange Tour`.

Over two hours, you will immerse yourself in the history, philosophy and spirit that makes Penfolds wines considered to be some of the world`s best. The tour begins with a walk through the historic winery, including the Vintage Cellar (still in use today making wine in the traditional way), and the Underground Maturation Cellars, where our wine filled oak barrels sit patiently, gently maturing, in wait for bottling.

Also included is a visit to Grange Cottage, name after Mrs Mary Penfold`s childhood home and nestled comfortably in the Estate`s 12 acres of 60 year old Shiraz vines. As the Penfold family`s original home, Grange Cottage was the inspiration for the wine created by Max Schubert in the 1950`s and offers a fascinating glimpse into Adelaide`s early colonial years.

Following the tour through the Estate, our Wine Education team will lead you through an exclusive tasting of six Penfolds super premium wines, including the iconic Penfolds Grange. To complement the wines, as tasting platter of local, and regional cheeses, is available.

The tour concludes in the historic Still House, now the Penfolds Magill Estate Cellar Door, with a barrel tasting of Penfolds Bluestone Tawny. Whether you are a devotee of Penfolds or just beginning to explore the world of wine, our `Great Grange Tour` offers a unique journey through one of the world`s most celebrated wineries.

Twilight Tour and Dinner in Magill Estate Winery - PME04

Just 15 minutes from the Adelaide city centre and with sweeping views from the vines to the sea, is one of the world`s most exclusive food and wine experience. Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant, located in the historic Penfolds Magill Estate, is an award winning, fine dining venue where the history, philosophy and spirit of Penfolds comes alive with spectacular food, unparalleled service and an unmatched wine list to delight any wine enthusiast.

For our special guests, we now offer the `Twilight Tour and Dinner` package, where patrons can enjoy a walking tour through the historic winery, established in 1844 by Dr Christopher Rawson Penfold, including the Vintage Cellar (still in use today making wine the traditional way), and the Underground Maturation Cellars, where our wine filled oak barrels sit patiently, gently maturing, in wait for bottling.

Following the walking tour, our Wine Education team will lead you on a tutored tasting of up to four Penfolds Premium Wines, providing you with the opportunity to find a favourite to accompany the five star dining experience that awaits. Your guide will then escort you to the Restaurant where you will enjoy a special five-course Degustation Menu created by Executive Chef, Jerome Tremoulet, with each dish matched perfectly with current and back-vintage Penfold wines selected by our Sommelier, Trevor Maskell, and not available anywhere else.

One Hour Heritage Tour - PME01

We invite you to join us on a daily discovery tour into the history of Australia`s most famous wine and learn more about the traditions, philosophy and labels that have made Penfolds a household name for over 150 years.

Enjoy a walking tour through the historical winery, including the Vintage Cellars (where we still make wine in the traditional way to this day), the Underground Maturation Cellars, and the old Still House, which houses our award-winning Cellar Door tasting room. Whilst at our Cellar Door we would like to offer you a special selection of Penfolds wines to taste and enjoy - some favourites you may already know, others only available at our Cellar Door locations.

Operates: Daily at 11am and 3pm, subject to availability.
