The centre is located in the front left room of the building known as The Chambers - the home of Coorong Cottage Industries and Alberts Coffee Shop.
The Chamber was built in 1889 as chambers for the district council. It was the meeting place for various groups and entertainment and it also housed the Institute Library. Many changes and extensions have been made over the years.
