Shottesbrooke
Established in 1984 Shottesbrooke Vineyards began with the first planting of vines by the founder and owner Nick Holmes. The vineyard itself was named after an estate in Berkshire, England, where Nick’s grandfather was the parish vicar.
Nick Holmes has been making wine for over 30 years, working with some of Australia’s most successful wineries and then under the Shottesbrooke label since 1984. Today Hamish Maguire is winemaker and continuing the Shottesbrooke winemaking tradition. The passion is to produce the best wine possible from the fruit grown from the estate vineyards in the big, full bodied style famous in McLaren Vale with the Shottesbrooke touch of style and elegance.
The team at Shottesbrooke welcomes you to taste their premium wines whilst enjoying the magnificent views and serenity that the cellar door and the grounds have to offer. The ‘Picker’s Hut’ is also a favorite spot, the perfect place to gather with family and friends and enjoy Shottesbrooke wines amongst the vineyards.
