Ceduna National Trust Museum
The Ceduna Branch of the National Trust of South Australia opened to the public in 1980. The public has been very generous with their donations and goods, which make up our displays. Our main building was the first school in Ceduna built in 1912. Other buildings include school classrooms from the area, the first post office in Ceduna, the first gaol in Ceduna, the Denial Bay Gaol, large machinery sheds, a blacksmith's shop, a church, and a cottage. These are the only 100 per cent managed herd of wild brumby’s in Australia, representing the heritage of the Eyre Peninsula since European colonisation. Darke`s Monument
Darke Peak (formerly Darke's Peak) is a small agricultural town located in central Eyre Peninsula. The town takes its name from the explorer John Charles Darke, who was injured in a spear attack by local Aboriginal people whilst travelling through the area on 24 October 1844. Moody Tanks - Historic Water Storage Tanks
State Heritage listed Moody Tanks are leased by the District Council and are currently being restored. Located approximately 30 kilometres from Tumby Bay on the Ungarra and Yeelanna Roads, the tanks were originally used to store water for the steam trains that ran close by. Mount Dutton Bay Woolshed Museum
The heritage listed Mount Dutton Bay Woolshed is a ‘working’ museum consisting of hundreds of local items depicting the history of the shearing, farming and fishing era. These items adorn the restored stone walls of this heritage-listed woolshed. Some items were found under debris of the Woolshed at the time of restoration (mid 1992).
