
Alligator Lodge is a secluded self-contained homestead, nestled amongst the blue gums and natural bush of Alligator Gorge in Mount Remarkable National Park.
Set into a hillside, this roomy 1950`s homestead provides an ideal base from which to explore the parks diverse scenery, wildlife and bushwalking trails. Discover seasonally flowing creeks lined with magnificent gum trees. Or marvel at the intimate beauty of Alligator Gorge - the jewel of the Southern Flinders Ranges.
A special feature of the lodge is its stunning floor-to-ceiling picture windows, offering fabulous views of the surrounding bush - including the occasional kangaroo hopping by.
Facilities include a gas stove, utensils, hot shower and a cosy combustion heater. Autumn to spring is the best time to visit the park when the weather is mild and spring wildflowers are dotted throughout the landscape.
You can find the lodge along a recently sealed road at the northern entrance to Mount Remarkable National Park, just 10 kilometres from Wilmington. Bookings are essential.
