New Horizon has been operating live-aboard sailing, snorkelling and diving adventures from Cairns to the outer Great Barrier Reef since 1995. With a maximum of just 10 passengers and an attentive crew of three, guests can enjoy a more personal reef experience. Choose from three days/two nights aboard Santa Maria, a 60 foot classic gaff-rigged schooner or two days/one night aboard Coral Sea Dreaming, a modern 16 metre steel ketch.
The pristine outer reef dive and snorkel sites they go to are not visited by the masses and have been chosen for their unique coral formations and abundant marine life. Join in and help sail the boat or just ‘supervise’ from the sundeck.
Without a real rigid schedule, they allow guests to go at their own pace and to be as active or as relaxed as they like. Snorkelling is included and whether you are an avid diver or looking to experience diving for the very first time, both certified and introductory dives are available. The friendly and experienced crew will pay every attention to your comfort and well-being, to help make sure that you return from your holiday with great memories to last a lifetime.
