Biggenden Junior Kids Fishing Day
The Junior Kids Fishing Day is hosted by the Biggenden Fishing Club and is open to children between the ages of seven to 14 years. The club is looking for 25 children to take part in the day which will be a fun time for the children, even if they don't know how to fish as the club teaches the children the fundamentals of fishing and the environment. The Monto Race Club will stage their Annual Race Day in late August. The gates open at 11:00 a.m. with the first local race starting at 1:30 p.m. There will be a full bar and catering facilities will be running throughout the day and night with a barbecue, luncheon stall, coffee van and much more. Bookmakers will be on course for punters to bet on the southern races televised by Sky Channel. The Mulgildie Association have been Members of the Queensland Rodeo Association for a number of years and this rodeo is open to all competitors from far and wide.
