The Mackay Region Festival of Arts is one of Queensland's largest regional festivals. River Sessions Festival showcases a variety of Australia's leading musical acts across two stages in the heart of Mackay City. The Bush meets the Beach with this most unusual event. Mackay will put out the welcome mat for four days of festivities that will culminate with 12 horse races on beautiful Mackay Harbour Beach against a back drop of the sky blue pacific ocean, a dozen yachts and several picturesque Islands.
