Alpha Murals
Alpha is branded the ‘Town of Murals’ due to the 27 colourful murals painted on buildings throughout the town. Each mural depicts a different aspect of pioneering and contemporary rural life. Two local artists Alice McLaughin and Benny Fuentes, both members of the Alpha Cultural Group decided to brighten up the town with their artistic skills after a devastating flood in the 1990s.
