Katherine Airport is 15 kilometres south of the town centre on the Stuart Highway. This small airport services charter flights only. Its passenger terminal houses public toilets and telephones but is without retail or food outlets so make sure you pack everything you need to take on board. There are no car-hire counters at the passenger terminal, and while there is a taxi rank, it's advisable to arrange transport to and from the airport in advance.
