One of the most anticipated events on Darwin`s sailing calendar, the Darwin to Ambon Yacht Race attracts large crowds to the harbour foreshore to watch the action, and enjoy the dry season sunshine and the festival atmosphere.

Find a vantage point from which to see the colourful sailing vessels starting their sailing adventure that ends in Ambon, Indonesia. The cool dry season breezes fill the spinnakers of yachts poised on the starting line. With the crack of the start gun, the race is on.

The Darwin Ambon Yacht Race and rally starts at 11am. This 600-nautical mile race to the capital of the Spice Islands attracts blue water sailors from Australia and the world.
