Chinese New Year - Chinese Joss House, Darwin

Celebrate and enjoy the festivities of the coming of Chinese New Year.

The 2010 Chinese New Year falls on Sunday February 14 - the Year of the Tiger. For two weeks the Chinese New Year is celebrated around Darwin with lion dances and blessing ceremonies in the city, Casuarina and Palmerston. The main event is the popular Chinese New Year Banquet at the Chung Wah Hall, which comprises a sumptuous Chinese banquet and local Chinese entertainment. Everyone is welcome, but places fill quickly.
