The ahm Wave Warriors Junior Challenge is an exciting new Junior Surf Life Saving Event, inspired by Ironman Champion, Zane Holmes. The event is open to under 10's to under 17's competitors and is now recognised as the best two day junior surf lifesaving event on the calendar. The Alabar Gold Crown Carnival runs for 10 days and is a mix of harness racing action (six race meetings) and social events. The social events include the Honouree Dinner, Golf Day, Gold Crown Ball and the yearling sale. Also the Miss Gold Crown Competition is held over the carnival and entrants raise money for the charity chosen for the year.
