Held on the eve of the Coonabarabran Cup are the local yabby races. Drop along to the Coona Bowling Club and help raise some much needed funds for the Coona Cancer Support Group. *** Latest event details are yet to be confirmed *** The Coonabarabran Show commences with the Art Preview in the Wool Pavilion on Thursday evening where there is also wine and beer tasting. During the day, events include cattle and sheep competitions, show jumping, sheaf tossing, wood chop, tug-o-war, and various other displays and competitions. The October Coonabarabran Cup is a spring racing carnival with a jam packed program of racing, fashions in the field, TAB, champagne and entertainment marquees, plus children's entertainment. The perfect package for a great day at the races! Entertainment will continue at the Coonabarabran Bowling Club into the evening. On Sunday the Coonabarabran Jockey Club hold a barbecue at 3pm followed by a Calcutta at 7pm at the Coonabarabran Bowling Club.Tour de Warrumbungles Bike Ride

Celebrating it's 12th birthday, the ride will be bigger and better than ever. Cycle through the impressive Warrumbungle region with distances and difficulties to suit every riding skill level. All proceeds from this event will go to the local Volunteer Rescue Service and the Rural Fire Service.
