Baerami Bush Dance

Bush dance with traditional acoustic music at the wonderful Baerami Hall, near Sandy Hollow in the Upper Hunter Valley on the edge of world heritage listed Wollemi National Park. Dances explained – you do not need a partner. Bring your own food and drinks and supper to share. Dancing starts 7.30pm Sat. Camp at hall or stay at nearby accommodation. On Sunday ,join in the guided bushwalk or bike ride. Bookings for the dance are appreciated.

Bush Poet Evening

A very popular evening of lively entertainment, poetry and music, soup and damper, frivolity and fun. Poets on the evening will include the talented and well known Milton Taylor, Graeme Johnson and more, with some toe tapping musicians. An established and popular evening, the event is a precursor to the Upper Hunter Wine and Food Affair the following day where the street is transformed into a wine and food Mecca to delight the senses. The Denman Farmers Market is a genuine producers market in the heart of the Hunter Valley. Muswellbrook Markets

The local markets of Muswellbrook are held at the Muswellbrook showground in Maitland Street on the second Sunday of every month from February to December. There are a wide range of stalls including arts and craft, jewellery, timberwork and produce from cakes to jam and everything in between. This makes The Upper Hunter Regional Show, one of the longest running regional shows in Australia.
