The Tablelands Way ribbons its way through World Heritage wilderness and awe inspiring ancient wonders, on the western side of the Blue Mountains.
Winding from Canberra to the Hunter and bypassing Sydney, it offers tourists the chance to travel back in time visiting historic towns and villages around Goulburn, Crookwell, Taralga, Oberon, Lithgow and Mudgee. The drive is visually stimulating, traversing the northern, central and southern tablelands with panoramic views for much of the drive.
To celebrate and launch this iconic route there will be a Tablelands Way Opening spectacular, a family friendly event featuring live entertainment throughout the day, a motorbike display, markets showcasing local products and experiences, amusements and food stalls.
The highlight of the event will be an attempt to set a Tablelands Way record for the largest number of motorbikes from one club (supported by the Ulysses Club). This event will showcase what The Tablelands Way has to offer in regards to produce, experiences and tourism products.
Tanjenong is located 25 kilometres north of Taralga and 6 kilometres south of the Abercrombie River.
