Clarrie Kirkland Reserve offers a fantastic picnic area located on the area of the Evans River known as the Little River. The area has excellent picninc facilities, beach showers, kiosk, cycle and walkways offering views of the Pacific Ocean. The Little River offers a great area for safe child friendly swimming.

Richmond Range is a remnant of the once giant Focal Peak volcano thought to have been active some 24 million years ago. Richmond Range National Park encompasses the rainforests of Cambridge Plateau, which are included on the World Heritage list as part of the Central Eastern Rainforest Reserves of Australia.
