The track consists of three loops - short loop (3kms), Lake Talbot loop (7kms) and the Murrumbidgee loop (11kms) and follows a scenic route around Lake Talbot and the majestic Murrumbidgee River.

The Lake Talbot look-out provides a scenic view of Lake Talbot, the main irrigation canal, and the surrounding nature reserve. Walking tracks commence from the lookout and continue around the lake. Lake Talbot itself is an artificial lake, only 1.5km from the town centre, which is ideal for boating, canoeing, water skiing etc. The lake adjoins the Lake Talbot swimming complex and Lake Talbot Caravan Park.

The NSWForestry Commission has established interesting drives throughout the beautiful red gum forest areas. The drives are clearly marked and take in sandy beaches and other points of interest.
Brochures and maps of the forest drives are available from the Narrandera Visitor Information Centre.
Please note that area cannot be traversed during wet conditions, as roads are unsealed and also likely to be flooded.
Natural bushland area and Murrumbidgee River. It is an ideal area in river for swimming with 3 natural beaches, and facilities for fishing and basic camping. A Bushland area on river banks features walking tracks and koala regeneration centre, which is a reserve area for the breeding of koalas.
