
Trawalla is the largest pecan nut plantation in the Southern Hemisphere, and a major producer of Pecan Nuts. There are in excess of 70,000 mature trees grown on the plantation. This plantation produces 95% of Australia`s annual pecan crop, which is harvested mechanically from May to July.
Trawalla is located 35 kilometres east of Moree on the Gwydir Highway.
Visits to the Pecan Farm are by guided tour only with bookings available through the Moree Visitor`s Information Centre.
