The Big Plane is located in the grounds of Amaroo Tavern on Amaroo Drive in Moree.
Walk through the world famous C47 (DC3) aircraft. It features 50 years of aviation history - a record of the life of the Royal Australian Air Force. This aircraft served in the RAAF until the mid 70's when it was given to the Papua New Guinea Defence Force as overseas aid.

Dhiiyaan, based in Moree and established in 1995, is part of the Northern Regional Library and Information Services.
It’s the first family history and photograph unit of its kind; encouraging Aboriginal participation within the library. By setting this precedent, it was hoped that what was being done at Dhiiyaan would be recognised and followed by other libraries throughout Australia to document Aboriginal history before it was all lost.

The Mary Brand Park is situated on the site of the first hotel in Moree (founded by Mary Brand in 1861). The park has several buildings and Meei Cottage, named after the original spelling of the Mehi River, is typical of cottages built in Moree in the 1890'S and is a fine example of a slab cottage.
A must for photographers and an ideal picnic area; the park backs on to the Mehi River jetty where it is popular for fishing and water sports.Mary Brand Park

The Moree Lands Office is a fine example of a two-storey timber office building, designed by the colonial architect by Walter Liberty Vernon. One notable employee was Edward Bulwer Lytton Dickens, son of Charles Dickens, who worked in the Lands Office from 1900 to 1902.
The National Trust register describes the office as 'A Definite Example of Outback Edwardian Architecture'.
