Crowdy Head Beaches
The beautiful area of Crowdy Head is located on a vast expanse of unspoilt beach which includes the North and South Beach. At the North beach end there is no overcrowding. This is a well protected beach, excellent for families. The Surf Lifesaving Club overlooks the beach and patrols operate during the summer months. Crowdy Head Lighthouse
Located 33 kilometres north east of Taree on the Mid North Coast is the historic Crowdy Head Lighthouse. Designed and erected between 1878 - 1879 as one of only five small lighthouses built on the NSW coast. The panoramic views from the lighthouse are breathtaking. Looking north you can see beyond Diamond Head and the Three Brothers region (south, middle and north) which were named by Captain James Cook in 1770 as he sailed up the East Coast.
