Built in 1838, the Morpeth Trading Post is the oldest industrial building still in daily use in New South Wales. It houses one of Australia's deepest natural spring water wells, which was sunk in 1818 for Morpeth Town's water supply and was later used to run the old Joinery's steam engine.
