Also featured at the centre are services for people with disabilities, coach parking and public toilets.

Woomera is an Outback village with a remarkable history. The village was constructed to support the construction teams working on the Woomera Rocket Range. This testing range was a joint project between Australia and the United Kingdom to facilitate the development of long range Ballistic Missiles. From its inception in 1947 the village was a prohibited area, closed to the public until 1982 when the site was derestricted. This fascinating history provides travellers to the area with a wealth of information about the significant role Australia has played in global defence history.

The Woomera Heritage and Visitor Information Centre has a comprehensive display of brochures promoting South Australia`s unique regions as well as stocking promotional material on Queensland, Northern Territory and Australia generally.

The souvenir shop specialises in Len Beadell merchandise and has an extensive range of tee shirts, magnets, spoons, stubby coolers, hats, books, videos and postcards exclusive to Woomera.
