Badgebup - Mr JC Warren planned construction of the church after his elder son Campbell, was killed in World War I in France on August 16, 1918.
Relatives and friends helped with financial donations and the residents of the district helped in carting a lot of the stone, using dynamite to blast it out. There is a jade stone above the foundation stone that came from the old family property in South Australia, 48 kilometres from Adelaide.
