Dog On The Tuckerbox Pioneer Monument
Gundagai - The famous monument of a `dog on a tucker box` was built in 1932, inspired by the ballad `Five Miles from Gundagai`, by Jack Moses.
Gundagai - It is a wonderful collection of artefacts from old Gundagai life, including a model T-Ford motor car, machinery equipment, a wedding dress from a jilted
bride, and many household items. The most prized exhibit is Phar Lap`s saddle cloth.

Gundagai - The rail bridge at Gundagai over the Murrumbidgee is a spectacular latticework of wooden trusses, gracefully curving across the flood plains and spaning the River. Well worth a look!

Gundagai - The historic bridges are:
Prince Alfred Bridge: Which is 921 metres in length and was completed in 1867. The original viaduct was replaced by the present one in 1896.
Sheahan Bridge: Which is 1143 metres long, was built and opened in 1977 as a by-pass for the Hume Highway.
Railway Bridge and Viaduct: The Viaduct is 819.4 metres long and was completed in 1902. An American company built the iron trust. The timber truss Viaduct is the longest of its kind ever built in Australia.

Gundagai - Rusconis Marble Masterpiece is a cathedral in miniature containing 20,948 pieces of N.S.W marble, every piece cut, turned and polished by hand.
It took 28 years of spare time work to build, which he did not assemble until he carved all the pieces and it is not a replica of any other Cathedral.
Also displayed at the Tourist Centre is a scale model of St Marie`s Cathedral altar which Mr Rusconi worked on for several years outside of Paris.
