Mount Grenfell Historical Site
Cobar - At the Mount Grenfell Historical Site you can find Aboriginal hand stencilling on the cave rocks. They did this by blowing or spraying mouthfuls of pigment around their hands. One of these depicts a hand with the top joints and the middle finger missing. Whether the author`s finger was mutilated or folded under is an historic puzzle. Other art forms depict small animated stick figures engaged in dancing, hunting or ceremonial pursuits.

Pastoral Mining And Technological Museum
Cobar - The museum overlooks the original open cut mine, sold to the shire council for
$1.00 to restore and turn into a museum.
Exhibits on display are: aboriginal, botanical, entomology, geology,
historical, mining, pastoral, technological and wool.
