Brewarrina Aboriginal Fish Traps
Brewarrina - Low stone walled fish traps once used by the tribal Aborigines for catching fish is located in the bed of the Barwon/ Darling River. Located at an ancient Dreamtime site, the Aboriginal Fisheries on the Barwon/Darling River.
Camp out under the stars, visit Aboriginal sites in the area and even fish in the river, as we have done since the Dreamtime.
Weilmoringle - Culgoa National Park is 22,006 hectares in size and is located on the Upper Culgoa Floodplain, north of Brewarrina and Bourke on the Queensland Border.
The Culgoa National Park is one of the least disturbed floodplains in NSW. Aboriginal sites are common throughout the park, including scarred trees, clay hearths and stone flake scatterings.
