        Perth - Construction on this fine example of colonial architecture commenced in 1874. A third storey was added to the building in 1897.

        On the east corner of the buildings is a plaque marking the point from which all distances are measured in Western Australia.

      • St Mary`s Church Middle Swan

        Perth - This fine edifice which is in the Gothic style was designed by W.H. Hague, a distinguished Dublin architect and was dedicated on 19th October, 1879. The church is enhanced by its position on elevated ground and the flights of stone steps leading to it. Fr. Thomas Fitzgerald, the priest responsible for its construction is buried within the chancel in front of the Blessed Sacrament Altar.

        Perth - The original St Matthews Church was constructed in 1836 of mudbrick. It was built on land donated by Governor Stirling at the eastern edge of Guildford, near the current location of the Guildford Grammar School Chapel. This building was replaced by a second Church built in the centre of Stirling Square which was demolished only 12 years later in a hurricane.

      • Wesley Chapel

        Perth - The present chapel replaced an earlier building erected in 1856 on land which was later resumed for the railway reserve.

        The existing chapel is a simple rectangular brick building with tall lancet windows. A meeting room is attached at the rear. The brick walls have been rendered and painted, somewhat spoiling the original appearance. The manse was designed in the traditional of colonial domestic architecture, with verandahs on three sides and chequere bond brickwork.
