Margaret River - The Greek Chapel of Saint John the Theologian was opened in 1979. It was built in remembrance of those Australian, Greek, British and New Zealand troops who lost their lives in Greece in World War II.
Its further aims are to maintain and strengthen the bonds of friendship forged on the battlefields and mountains of Greece between the heroic Greek people and the British, New Zealand and Australian Forces.
Busselton - St Mary’s Anglican Church in Busselton is the oldest stone church in the state. Built by the early settlers in the 1840s this beautiful historic building was the primary place of worship for the Vasse community. A visit to the charming old church is a must. St Thomas More Catholic Church
Margaret River - Morning and afternoon teas are available on arrangement, particularly for coach groups. In 1984, 28,000 visitors came to view the church. An excellent range of postcards are available for sale.
St Thomas More Catholic Church is an example of complete community involvement in a project. Not only did they raise funds but also assisted in the construction of it. Rammed earth construction with good use of local timbers throughout. Beautiful lead light stained glass windows.
