Willows Historic Home and the Jerilderie Museum
Jerilderie - As a building, `The Willows` Museum dates back historically to 1878, when it was first built as a residence by the Wise brothers, in conjunction with the construction of a Flour Mill. The Mill itself was a water powered stone grind mill, which operated at `The Willows` site prior to its relocation to the railway siding in 1885.
Planted on the lawns of `The Willows` is a native `Jerilderie Red` tree, which is a cross between an Illawarra Flame tree and a Kurrajong, and is unique to Jerilderie.`... read more
