Clarence Town Courthouse and Site
Clarence Town - Dungog Courthouse was designed by prominent colonial architect James Barnet and is subsequently well worth a look. The exterior can be viewed at any time, with more restricted access to the interior.
Paterson - Since its foundation in 1984, the Rail Motor Society has been dedicated to preserving the state`s railway heritage. Thanks to the passionate efforts of our volunteers, these historic vehicles are here for everyone to enjoy.
Paterson - A visit to this small, private museum is well worth the effort. The jewels of the collection are the CPH class rail motors - the first motors to break the monopoly of steam trains. The collection contains rail motors and trailers that are the last surviving of their type.
Paterson - Tocal Homestead is an important rural heritage site because much of the site, including barns, stables and the original residence built in 1822, remains intact. The Homestead (built in 1841) is set on a 2200ha property encompassing natural wetlands, dry sclerophyll forests and rainforest remnants. The Homestead is presented in the context of original outbuildings and sheds that contribute to the fascinating story of Tocal.
