The Hoffman`s Mill Picnic Site is the site of a once thriving timber milling town established in the early years of the century. The town closed in the 1960s. Some remains of buildings and gardens are still visible.
Bush walk trails can be followed through the forest where you can discover more about this beautiful area or just sit and admire the crystal clear creek. Visit the secret home of the rare noisy scrub bird.
The site has large camping areas good for caravans, shady, grassy and excellent for groups. Secluded camping spots are dotted around the site.
Hoffman`s facilities include toilets, free gas barbecue, picnic facilities, and footy oval.
The area is a water catchment area and restricts swimming, fishing marroning and domestic animals.
Camping is prohibited from the end of Easter til 1 November. Day use is allowed at this time.
Camping fees apply and are payable at the Lake Brockman Caravan Park.
Rangers patrol the area 24 hours daily.
