Co-operative Bulk Handling (CBH) Wheat Storage and Transfer Depot, Merredin
The Depot was commenced in 1966 and additional cells were added in 1978 and 1998. Storage consists of - Tall cells with a total capacity of 15 000 tonnes of grain. - Horizontal E type storage capable of holding 220 000 tonnes. This has a length of 610 metres and a width of 59metres. It is the Company`s largest and is the longest horizontal storage bin in the southern hemisphere. Recent additions include 8 bulk heads for grain storage.
CBH Merredin is the largest inland receival point in the State.
