The Bathurst Harness Racing club paceway is located at the Bathurst Show Grounds, opposite the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre on the eastern side of Bathurst central business district, and was launched as a night race meeting venue on 14 November 1953.
The club races 52 times a year with most race meetings hosted as a Wednesday night meeting, with small number of Saturday twilight meetings programmed for 2008/2009. Feature race meeting also see the inclusion of a `kids entertainment hub` incorporating jumping castle, ice-cream van and Play on Wheels. Throughout the Gold Crown Carnival a trackside marquee is erected providing participants additional catering outlets, and between race entertainment is programmed (ie bank, prize give always and competitions).
