The present chapel replaced an earlier building erected in 1856 on land which was later resumed for the railway reserve.
The existing chapel is a simple rectangular brick building with tall lancet windows. A meeting room is attached at the rear. The brick walls have been rendered and painted, somewhat spoiling the original appearance. The manse was designed in the traditional of colonial domestic architecture, with verandahs on three sides and chequere bond brickwork.
