St Thomas More Catholic Church

Morning and afternoon teas are available on arrangement, particularly for coach groups. In 1984, 28,000 visitors came to view the church. An excellent range of postcards are available for sale.

St Thomas More Catholic Church is an example of complete community involvement in a project. Not only did they raise funds but also assisted in the construction of it. Rammed earth construction with good use of local timbers throughout. Beautiful lead light stained glass windows.

The church was one of the first modern buildings to use this type of rammed earth construction. Its unique design and use of local materials make it a popular and interesting tourist attraction.
