Geraldton Port

Geraldton Port is one of the few ports where you are able to get a close look at all of the bustling activities that take place. Geraldton Port is one of Australia`s busiest regional ports and Australia’s second largest for grain export. You will be able to see a variety of different size carriers arriving and departing. Witness grain and iron ore being loaded onto these enormous vessels.

With the resources boom in Western Australia, the port is currently undergoing further expansion to provide additional capacity to cope with the increasing exportation of minerals and iron ore.

If time permits take a boat trip departing from the port to visit the Abrolhos Islands. An archipelago of 122 islands which offer spectacular diving and snorkelling opportunities and the fishing is unsurpassed. The port town of Geraldton is a five hour drive north of Perth.
