The Adaminaby State Curtain was designed by two artists and two sewing ladies. The curtain took two and half years to complete and 85 men and women along with 31 school children to complete. Their ages ranged from 5 to 85 years and the people were from 12 different countries.
The curtain is twill, with almost every type of craft being used to get the desired effect, a lot of recycled material was used in the project as well.

The Mosque is situated on the site of the former 'Camel Camp' where Afghan and Indian Camel drivers loaded and unloaded their camel teams, from the earliest days of Broken Hill.
