Alexandria is a gracious Federation style home built in 1905 on the banks of the Inglis River, 1.5 km from the town centre of Wynyard and Burnie Airport, offering services of Bed and Breakfast accommodation and function venue. The Camelia Suite, named after the many camelia bushes in the garden, is situated in the main house and is ideal for the single traveller. This suite has a double bed and features the largest bathroom we have to offer. Continental breakfast is served in the main house dining room. The Chestnut Suite, named after the graceful chestnut tree in the back garden, is the second suite in the garden cottages. It is spacious with a queen and single bed for an extra guest or child and is well equipped for either short or longer stays, with microwave, bar fridge and full crockery supplied. A single foldaway bed can also be set up for a fourth person, perfect for travelling families. A private reading area is also available for use outside your door.
The Oak Suite, named after the magnificent shady oak tree in the back garden, is the second largest suite in the garden cottage. It is spacious with a queen and single bed for an extra adult or child and is well equipped for either short or longer stays, with microwave, bar fridge and full crockery supplied. A private reading area is available for use in the garden cottage entrance area.
The Daisy Suite, named after the many long flowering daisy bushes in the garden is our largest suite available. It is a spacious queen suite in the main house positioned with views of the magnificent English Oak in the garden. An adjoining room is set up as a semi-kitchen with bar fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and extra crockery, perfect for longer stays.
